A proposed schedule for the girls rugby season (U15 & U18) has been put together by the 3 Rugby Development Officers in Dumfries and Galloway. Players will be drawn from the Newton Stewart, Stewartry and Dumfries areas. The season will include cluster training which will be split between the three clubs of Newton Stewart, Dumfries and Stewarty, along with festivals and national competitions.

Douglas Ewart High School already has a thriving girls team in place and it is hoped that these girls will make up the bulk of the squad that will train together. Training for the school team currently takes place on Wednesdays after schools, with sessions being led by Mrs Williams.
